Project Details

Cherry Street Landing is a developed neighborhood containing academic, retail, office, and residential components located within the boundaries of Cherry Street, Oakes Street, Ionia Avenue, and Commerce Avenue. Rockford has completed eight projects within these boundaries since 1999 and has focused on the rehabilitation of the existing, vacant buildings.

The Cherry/Commerce Parking Structure, the newest addition to the neighborhood, will bring a much needed parking component to the area. More than 300,000 sq. ft. of space has been renovated by Rockford since the project was undertaken. Rockford partnered with the DeVos family in April 2003 to further the development of Cherry Street Landing. The partnership formed through Rockford and the DeVos family’s shared vision and commitment to downtown revitalization.
