Project Details
Rockford Construction completed an extensive renovation to the Academic Building for Aquinas College. The entire second floor of the building was demolished and gutted, which included asbestos removal. The space was then renovated to include faculty offices, classrooms, lecture halls, restrooms, and a common area. An elevator was also added to the building.
The facility, renovated in accordance with the U.S Green Building Council’s standards for sustainable design and construction, features an open-air design that maximizes natural light and creates a contemporary look for the building. Several other green concepts were introduced to this facility, earning the building silver-level LEED certification.
