Summary
Project Details
Completed in August 2004, this is the third consecutive housing project for Rockford Construction’s team. This project consists of two large buildings – each 101,400 sq. ft. The identical buildings contain one-, two-, and four-bedroom apartments with private living areas, kitchens, and bathrooms. These two buildings added a total of 460 beds for the student population.
Also included in this project was a central utility building and 900 ft. of underground tunnel designed to provide utilities to the south end of the Allendale campus. The equipment, piping, and data cabling were configured to allow for future campus expansion.
“Grand Valley State University has enjoyed working with Rockford Construction on several major housing projects, including the most recent state-of-the-art 460 bed project which we call South Hall A&B. We trust Rockford to complete projects on-time and on-budget and they always deliver.”
