Summary
Project Details
Davenport University, Michigan’s largest business-focused university, hired Rockford Construction to manage construction of their new, 53 acre W. A. Lettinga Campus in Caledonia Township. Construction of the $23 million campus began in August 2004 and was completed in time for the 2005-2006 academic year. Utilizing state-of-the-art classrooms and technology, the W.A. Lettinga Campus accommodates up to 2,400 students in an academic setting that is both professional and comfortable.
The Richard M. DeVos and Jay Van Andel Academic Center, which houses classrooms as well as the Margaret D. Sneden Library and Technology Center, has the appearance of a professional office building. The first phase of residential housing, the Peter C. and Pat Cook Residence Hall, accommodates 60 students. A second phase of housing brought 110 more beds to campus.
“On behalf of Davenport University, I would like to thank Rockford and your team for their dedication, energy, and professionalism in constructing the W.A. Lettinga Campus for Davenport University. It was a great pleasure working with the entire team as we literally built an entire college campus from the ground up.”
