Camp Anna Behrens

Summary

Project Details

Rockford Construction completed a new dining hall for the Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails’ Camp Anna Behrens in June of 2005. The 13,000-square-foot dining hall was constructed with pine trees harvested from the site. The building features both an interior and exterior fireplace with a seating capacity of 360. Natural lighting and stormwater storage and collection systems were incorporated into the construction of the facility to meet LEED requirements.

The entire construction process was organized and completed in accordance with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards. The building received LEED certification in September 2006.

“Working with Rockford was awesome. It was so beneficial for us to have help with coordinating the delivery and use of donated materials and resources. Rockford assembled a team of true professionals allowing us to keep on schedule even with the variables we were working with.”
