Project Details
Wolverine World Wide, a leading manufacturer of casual and work footwear, asked Rockford Construction to build a new distribution center. The center was designed around the large order picking equipment necessary for distribution.
The pre-engineered metal building with a 35-foot clear ceiling height features 112,000 sq. ft. of super flat floors to accommodate the wire-guided order picking system. Three conveyor lines serve 12 truck docks. The project also contains a mezzanine, trash conveyor, and expansion capabilities. A 133,000 sq. ft. expansion project was completed in 2003, bringing the total square footage to 360,000.
I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the job your company did on our recent warehouse addition. Rockford showed great concern for the safety and well being of your team and the Wolverine World Wide employees. We are anxious to occupy our beautiful new warehouse addition and, I wanted to thank you for the huge effort from Rockford.
