Project Details
This distribution center project for Meijer, Inc. consisted of two phases. Phase I called for construction of a 5,700 sq. ft. Machine Room to house the new refrigeration system, along with conversion of the existing freezer facility from a Freon to an ammonia based system.
Phase II was the construction of a 160,000 sq. ft. cold storage addition, including tie-in to the new ammonia refrigeration system and 61 truck docks.
The cold storage facility features 34 degree, 29 degree, and -10 degree rooms.
