YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids – Wolverine World Wide Family

Project Details

The building features a brick exterior with glass detailing in the entryway. The facility includes a gymnasium, lap pool, aerobics center, climbing wall, computer and game rooms, multi-purpose room with kitchen, mens, womens, and family locker rooms, chapel, administrative offices, cafe area, exterior walk path, three soccer fields, and one softball field.

The original YMCA was completed in 2005. In 2007, an addition as Phase II began in order to bring 14,000 more square feet to the health and wellness portion of the facility. This project involved significant in-kind donations from Rockford Construction Company and its subcontractors.

My experience with (Rockford) during the design and construction process has been outstanding. They not only finished ahead of schedule, but also under budget. They always looked at ways to add quality and savings to make our facility better. Overall, they are a very professional and top notch business.
