Project Details

Rockford Construction completed the renovation and expansion of Ferris State University’s Interdisciplinary Resource Center (IRC) in fall 2007. The IRC project provides flexible academic teaching spaces that is used by multiple programs and departments, promote student learning, and utilize state-of-the-art technology systems that can be easily upgraded in the future.

The project called for the renovation of 54,700 sq. ft. and a new addition of approximately 6,000 sq. ft. to the IRC on the Big Rapids Campus. The expansion of the IRC integrates with the neighboring College of Business building. The new IRC provides a series of individual break-out spaces and small seminar rooms for individual and team study, along with reconfigured faculty office space and classrooms.
