Project Details
Rockford Construction demolished and renovated several floors of the Penn Plaza Building for RDV Corp. Five floors of the office building remained occupied during renovation, along with the bank branch on ground level. Complete demolition of all walls, doors, glass, millwork, electric, and plumbing on the two floors to be renovated occurred in late spring. The glass face of the building was also removed, in order to facilitate the new brick and granite exterior, designed to flow with the historic buildings on either side of Penn Plaza.
A seventh floor penthouse was added to the building. The top of the building is a historic showpiece complete with arches and urns. Beautiful design work and high-end finishes were the final phase of the interior renovation.
This project won the 2007 Associated Builders and Contractors’ Award for Renovation.
